Our Curriculum
We recognise that the world is changing rapidly, and the skills children need today go beyond simply memorising facts. In a world where information is readily available, the real value lies in the ability to ask the right questions. That’s why we focus on developing communication, critical thinking, and exploration skills, enabling children to find the answers and empowering them to confidently ask, “why?”
From age 2 - 12 years old we teach the English National Curriculum through the Pearson iPrimary programme, ensuring a strong academic foundation in subjects such as maths, science, literacy, and humanities. What sets our approach apart is how we incorporate the forest into the every day and also bring learning to life with song, sport and project based activities.
Our academic approach nurtures the essential soft skills such as communication and team work, which are just as important as learning facts. Through outdoor learning, we encourage children to express themselves confidently, explore new ideas, and develop the resilience to face challenges.
Through our forest school programme we seek to build confidence and self-belief. At FISP, we want to offer children the opportunity to explore, discover, and learn at their pace, helping them grow into curious, independent thinkers who are ready to embrace the future with confidence.
For all us of here at FISP, education is not just about knowledge; it’s about equipping children with the skills to navigate the world and seize the opportunities ahead.
